In the middle of 2024, the Chinese government issued a series of opinions to encourage the application of intelligent technologies to drive the green and low-carbon transformation of various industries. This includes developing low-energy buildings, advancing new power supply systems, and promoting sustainable lifestyles. The National Development and Reform Commission of China, together with other departments, introduced a guideline to support the widespread application of green building technologies in the building and clean energy facility sectors, aiming to create a healthier living environment.[1]
Ms Lucia Wong, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said: “The rapid advancement in the applications 5G communications, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and the metaverse are driving innovation across the industry. As a leading communication platform for the industry, GEBT will highlight new opportunities in low-carbon intelligent building and smart power distribution to facilitate the smart industry ecosystem. The 2025 edition will feature dedicated zones to showcase cutting-edge energy-saving and low-carbon building technologies to explore a more sustainable future.”
New exhibition zones highlight new energy innovations
As a premier industry platform for cross-sector collaboration, GEBT capitalises on long-term development opportunities in intelligent building and low-carbon transformation, fostering green innovation to enhance efficiency and sustainability in building solutions. This year’s edition will highlight new thematic exhibition zones, featuring innovative intelligent low-carbon building technologies.
In the “Smart Power Distribution” zone, exhibitors will present smart power distribution system equipment and products, hybrid power supply, integrated power generation, grids, demand, and storage on active distribution systems, as well as renewable energy supply and distribution systems. In addition, the “Generic Cabling” zone will focus on the application of generic cabling in intelligent building, home automation, and IoT technology. The “Building Control and Energy Management” zone will showcase building equipment monitoring and energy saving systems and products, new energy and energy storage technology, and power quality systems. To facilitate effective exchange of information for industry professionals, this year’s fair will also introduce the “Intelligent Building Supply Chain Consulting” zone.
Meanwhile, GEBT will collaborate with Qianjia Smartech to invite industry professionals and experts to host a series of engaging forums. These discussions will delve into topics such as the applications of AI in intelligent building, new trends in dual-carbon strategies, smart commercial space, and home automation. Featured events include:
The China (Guangzhou) Integrators’ Conference 2025
This conference will gather representatives ranging from integrators to government procurement officials, project managers, architects, low-voltage contractors, operators, and designers, discussing how intelligent system integration can upgrade the industry by reducing costs and improving efficiency.
Low-Carbon Intelligent Building Summit 2025
This event will centre on the integration of low-carbon trends with intelligent building technologies. Topics will include “Applications of AI in Intelligent Building and Energy-saving Strategies”, “AI-driven System for Energy-saving and Carbon Reduction”, “Innovative Integration Reshaping a New Era of Intelligent Building Automation”, and “New Direction, New Driver, and New Initiative for Advanced Development in the Intelligent Building Industry”.
Emerging Trends & Highlights in Intelligent Building 2025
Under the theme of “New Product, New Technology, and New Solution”, this forum will provide insights on achieving user recognition by emphasising technological empowerment and innovation-driven development, while enhancing intelligent design standards and improving quality of life. In addition, leading brands from the low-carbon intelligent building will launch their latest products at the forum and share case studies of various technology applications.
In addition to the events listed above, the fair will host the “AI+ Low-Carbon Intelligent Building Summit”, which will discuss “AI+” business models to support the green and intelligent technology transformation. In 2025, GEBT will continue to promote cross-sector cooperation, offering a professional business platform for exhibitors to showcase their cutting-edge innovations and service capabilities while facilitating the new model for industry transformation.
