GEBT 2025 concludes successfully, bringing together international visitors and paving the way for new opportunities in the building sector

Guangzhou, 18 June 2025. The 22nd Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) concluded on 12 June 2025 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Held concurrently with the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), the fairs showcased 3,188 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions and attracted 211,173 local and overseas visitors. This year’s GEBT focused on the core themes of “low-carbon intelligent building”, “home automation” and “smart power distribution”, comprehensively displaying cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions. Helping exhibitors to expand into overseas markets, creating new opportunities for the intelligent building industry, and promoting sustainable and high-quality development.

GEBT 2025 opens next week, uniting the industry to bring about a low-carbon future, as well as a new chapter in intelligent building and home automation

Guangzhou, 3 June 2025. The 22nd Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will run from 9 June at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, concurrently with Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) through to 12 June 2025. These events will host 3,188 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, covering an overall exhibition area of 250,000 square meters. GEBT 2025 will focus on “low-carbon intelligent building”, “home automation” and “smart power distribution”, bringing together industry leaders and innovators to present advanced technologies, intelligent solutions, and practical achievements in energy saving and carbon reduction in buildings. Several forums will explore the latest electrical technology trends and the challenges and opportunities in low-carbon building development. Notably, the New Opportunities for China’s Building Electrics and Home Automation Abroad, as well as the OffiSmart Smart Office and Space Management Summit will make its debut in Guangzhou, promoting cross-industry collaboration.

GEBT 2024 to explore the advancement of smart spaces, fostering the green development of the building industry

The 20th edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) closed on 12 June 2023 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Alongside the concurrent Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), the fairs hosted 3,318 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, while visitors rose by 61.9% to 207,681. GEBT continues to provide a comprehensive platform for all participants to explore and promote the green development of the building industry.

GEBT 2023 returns on Friday with forums exploring green building topics

The 20th edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will take place from 9 to 12 June 2023 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. The fair will host 3,318 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions across 220,000 sqm of exhibition space alongside the concurrent Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE). A series of forums will also be offered, with leading partners including the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), KNX as well as Connectivity Standards Alliance and many other local organisations, providing insights on industry trends such as green buildings, low carbon emissions and smart development.

Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology concludes with a surge in visitor numbers

Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) wrapped up on Saturday, achieving its objective as outlined in this year’s show theme of “The integration of the smart technology ecosystem”. GEBT took place alongside Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and together they gathered 1,288 exhibitors and attracted 128,202 visitors, a 31% increase from last year’s edition. With a variety of different industries gathered under one roof, GEBT provided a platform for promoting smart development within the electrical engineering industry.

Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) is set to bring leading brands from a variety of different industries together as the fair adopts the theme “The integration of the smart building ecosystem”. The show will be held alongside Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) once again at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Returning this summer as a hub for smart building technologies, the exact show dates will be announced soon following close coordination with the fairground. After a successful four-day run at the China Import and Export Centre, Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) concluded on 6 August. Held concurrently once again with Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) the fairs attracted 2,036 exhibitors and 97,688 visitors. The synergy between the two shows as well as the advancement in IoT and AIoT technologies and their adoption in the Chinese market created more opportunities for exhibitors and buyers in this year’s edition.

Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will take place from 3 – 6 August 2021 now that the pandemic situation is under control in Guangdong province. The two concurrent fairs, which were originally scheduled for June, will take place at the China Import and Export Fair Complex.

Next month’s Guangzhou Light + Building fairs postponed

The two Guangzhou editions that form part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building portfolio, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), have been postponed due to recent Covid-19 cases in the city. The fairs were originally scheduled to run from 9 – 12 June at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. A new date for the two events will be announced shortly.

The dates for the 2021 edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) have been confirmed, with the fair set to take place from 9 – 12 June. Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology concluded, reconfirming its status in the booming intelligent building market

New dates of 10 – 13 October for Messe Frankfurt’s Guangzhou Light + Building fairs

Due to a more favourable date becoming available at the fairs’ venue, the organiser of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) has announced the two shows will now take place from 10 – 13 October. An expected 2,000-plus exhibitors will take part in the two fairs spanning 19 halls at the China Import and Export Fair Complex.

Originally planned to be held in June, Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) has been rescheduled to 30 September – 3 October. The concurrent Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition will also take place on these new dates, with both fairs held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Messe Frankfurt has announced that the two concurrent fairs in its Light + Building portfolio, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), have been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Both fairs were originally due to take place from 9 – 12 June, and will now be held at a future date which will be announced shortly. They will remain at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

The 2019 edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) ended on a positive note on June 12th.
