GEBT 2026 opens today, highlighting low-carbon intelligent building and home automation

9 Jun 2026

Guangzhou, 9 June 2026. The 23rd edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) opens today alongside the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), running from 9 – 12 June at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Held under the theme “Smart technology drives green transformation”, the two fairs feature 2,802 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions across 210,000 sqm. GEBT’s 2026 edition presents technologies for efficient buildings and connected homes, including building automation, energy management, equipment monitoring, home controls, smart lighting, hotel systems and smart audio-visual solutions. The fair also features themed zones, forums and product launches addressing digitalisation and energy efficiency in buildings and residential spaces.

Ms Lucia Wong, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said: “As Asia’s leading trade fair for electrical engineering, intelligent building and home automation, GEBT brings suppliers, developers, systems integrators and other industry professionals into discussions on the future of buildings and homes. In China, ‘Quality Homes’ has become part of this wider conversation, with the industry looking more closely at how residential and building spaces can become more efficient, comfortable and sustainable. For our 2026 edition, we are collaborating with global stakeholders to provide a platform where participants can gain insights into emerging trends, exchange views and build a shared understanding of future priorities through the fair’s concurrent events.”

Themed exhibits and zones at GEBT 2026
GEBT’s exhibition area is arranged across Halls 12.2 and 13.2 in Area B, with exhibits covering both low-carbon intelligent building technologies and home automation. Leading brands are displaying their latest solutions across the two halls.

In low-carbon intelligent building technologies, exhibits cover energy optimisation, carbon monitoring and energy dispatch for projects ranging from individual homes to whole buildings, with building automation, equipment monitoring, energy management and new energy storage showing how operators can monitor consumption, adjust equipment and manage buildings more efficiently.

For home automation, visitors can explore digitally enabled living supported by collaborative sensing technologies, with applications in home theatres, smart healthcare, kitchens and bathrooms. Product categories include smart audio-visual systems, smart curtain systems, home security, home cabling, smart lighting and home appliances.

In addition, the fair features several dedicated zones: the KNX zone, the Matter zone, and the Low-carbon Intelligent Building & Energy Management zone. Highlighted exhibitors at the zones include:

·         KNX zone: Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Legrand, Hager, HDL, GVS, Bosch, Yimo, Star-net, Léwin, SeaWin, Kanontec, Belelight, Rishun, Meanwell, Elsner, Sation, Kegu, ChangXing, Tapko, Interra, Tantron, Deepsmart and Turing Think

·         Matter zone: Xizhen, Zhimei, Shushi, Junengliang, TNJAI, ReZ-Tech and Haojia
